Share Your Story
Be part of shaping Whales in the Sky.
We believe stories change everything.
If you are someone who was diagnosed as autistic later in life or came to understand yourself as autistic outside of a formal diagnosis, we invite you to share your story with us.
Your words, your journey, your truth can help shape the heart of Whales in the Sky, from the emotional visuals in the film to the educational materials we are building to support others around the world.
We’re gathering both qualitative (personal stories, reflections, emotional language) and quantitative (age of diagnosis, access to support, global region, etc.) information to build a fuller, more human picture of what late discovery can feel like.
What You Can Share
You’re welcome to tell us as little or as much as you’d like. Some guiding questions might include:
How old were you when you were diagnosed (or when you first realized you might be autistic)?
What were the signs or experiences that made you question or discover this part of yourself?
What were the emotional or social impacts of this realization?
What do you wish others understood about your experience?
Are there any metaphors, images, or symbols that have helped you make sense of your journey?
We may pull from your responses to inspire scenes, characters, and educational moments in Whales in the Sky.
