For Those Who See Themselves in This Story

This film is for you. For the ones who have felt like outsiders, who have struggled to find the words for what they’ve always known about themselves. For those who have carried the weight of feeling different, of not quite belonging, of searching for a space where they fit in this world.

But this story is not just for those who share the journey of a late autism diagnosis. It is for anyone who has ever struggled with their mental health, who has fought against the currents of their own mind, who has felt overwhelmed by emotions too deep or intense to navigate. It is for anyone who has known what it means to sink under the weight of it all and wonder if they will ever rise again.

I created Whales in the Sky because I know that journey intimately. I know the loneliness of looking in from the outside, the exhaustion of fighting to stay afloat, the quiet yet profound relief of finding glimmers of light in places you never expected. This story is for the ones who are still searching for their way forward, who are learning that healing is not about becoming someone else, but about embracing who they have always been.

You are not alone. You have always been enough. And you are worthy of getting support and taking up space in this world...not just surviving in it, but soaring.

I sincerely hope this film brings you nothing less than peace, courage, and hope.
